“Guilt was of the strongest human emotions and Lucifer was its author.” - Killing Abel

“The Spirit informs Us that a new dispensation is the best course to follow, a dispensation of law, as only law tends to restrain those who know not love,” Killing Abel

I’m not much of a bible reader but almost everyone is familiar with the book of Genesis. Those two quotes are the ones that happened to stick with me the most and seem to pull me into the book even more. I personally feel that the way this book is written and laid out in occurrences; it could have easily passed for a “true story.”

Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is filled with numerous obstacles, adventures, tasks, and relations that you can’t help but to feel a connection or understanding for everyone. May even find yourself shouting at the book due to Adam not making the choice they “knowingly” should have. From just 2 people to thousands and thousands of procreated children, and all the mistakes and achievements in between, this book is a prime example of the love, sacrifices, sadness, and heartaches, and painful choices that a father goes through for his children. If the Father had not loved Adam the way that he did when he realized he ate from the “Tree of Knowledge” then maybe you and I, based on this book, would never be sitting where we are today.

There is an amazing amount of vocabulary words and phrases that I have never heard of before , so I feel that is always a positive thing for an author to do when writing - is to also educate and make readers want to “ know more “ about your writing. a lot of life lessons are being learned and brought up in this book, and I feel someone could walk away looking at life a little different than when before they read Killing Abel

I gladly rate this book 3 out of 4 Stars because I don’t feel this is really a book that just people of religion would enjoy. I feel people that are either spiritual, religious, or undecided could all enjoy this book. Killing Abel by M. Tieman is going to make it to my bookshelf physically because it is by far, one of the best books I have read in quite some time. From the prologue all the way to authors notes, you will be hooked.
