Health tips, myths, and tricks by Morton E. Tavel is a self-help book explaining essential tips necessary for healthy living, useful information on common misconceptions, and tricks related to health issues. Divided into 3 sections, this book talked on tips, myths, and tricks just as the title of the book implies.

The first section expatiated on tips about the health that will hopefully improve healthy living while reducing the waste of money when incorporated into our daily life. Furthermore, this section covers the benefits and side effects of a wide range of elements present in our daily diets on several body organs.

The second section gave a good detail on the various myths i.e. misconceptions regarding health issues, their possible bad consequences, and states the true facts about them. An important example of such misconceptions commonly believed among people is that consistent Wi-Fi usage causes mild headache, fatigue, and chest pain.

In the last section, the author highlighted four secret ways to detect the various tricks designed by advertisers to take your money in exchange for useless and dangerous products.

The author of this book used his adequate experience in the medical field to provide suitable scientific publications, accurate media reports, and statistics that support every essential statement made in this book.

At first glance, this book seems to be targeting readers based in the United States of America as most of the examples and statistical proofs are related to American diets and publications respectively. Nevertheless, it’s for every individual with the zeal and commitment towards achieving an improved healthy lifestyle by replacing unhealthy diets, drugs, and supplements advertised by various companies with extremely cheap healthy alternatives. It’s of great importance to note that achieving a good healthy lifestyle requires individual effort because replacing an accustomed diet with a new one is not an easy task.

More so, I enjoyed reading this book as it is an eye-opener for every potential buyer of drugs or supplements in order to make informed choices to avoid being tricked into spending on worthless products advertised by very convincing advertisers. It also has lots of homemade remedies for common disease conditions. Exceptional usage of vocabulary and grammar, excellent proofreading, easy to comprehend sentences, detailed with relatable examples, and statistical proofs, this book is an amazing read for every lover of this genre. Therefore, the only justified rating for this book is 4 out of 4 stars.
