Health Tips Myths And Tricks written by MD Morton .E. Travel, is an educational book concerning health, especially on food consumed by people. A now retired physician, MD Morton .E. Travel in is field of external medicine and cardiology, shares with us in his book some medical advice that will improve our daily health concerning the food we eat and lots more. The book is mainly in three parts, health tips, as it has to do with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, etc. Two things, I picked interest more in, has to do with fat/oil and sodium consumption, I was once a high consumer of the both but after reading this book I realized that I was only using my hands to sign my death certificate.

Concerning the part of Myths. It talks about some believe of people which is irrational, like in chapter 34 “some irrational fears never dies." A myth describing a small group of twelve children who were immunized to prevent measles, mumps, and rubella, presumably developed autism, leading to the premature conclusion that the immunization was the cause of it. The part of tricks talks about some hype made to get people when it comes to health or food. Like in chapter 57, it talks about a marketing hype concerning “alkaline water” and “ionizers”, which turns out to be dangerous to the body.

I will say Health Tips Myths And Tricks is a book that everybody has to read, if you want to stay healthy, because what you might consider good food could be a good hospital bed director. Reading this book is like having a doctor talking to you. It is easy to understand and it's well edited. During my reading I learned a lot of things concerning health, especially for diabetes due to the fact that my grandmother is diabetic, so after reading I become a doctor to her, like when I got the information that beet root lowers blood pressure and the high intake of salt increases it.

If you don't know what to eat to stay healthy, then this book is just what you need, almost everything you need to stay healthy can be found in this book. I love this book more especially for the health tips. One thing I don't like about it, is the fact that the author seams to be condemning the use of snake oil, which is one the best medicine for massaging and body pain treatment locally in my country, at least I have had an issue, when I am younger, I accidentally hit my head against the wall, the spot got swollen and was excruciating, my mom used snake oil (known has "dorlin" in my country) on the spot, which effectively reduced the pain and few minutes later the swell effectively reduced.

The book is a great book, I have never read anything like it, it was well edited and proofread, grammatical errors where rear. Like I stated earlier everyone should read this book, knowledge, and the application of it is power, if anyone reads this book and apply it, he/she is sure of good health. I rate Health Tips Myths And Tricks 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend the book for everyone between the ages of ten, and above due to the fact that peoples below this may not be able to read and understand.

Great review! Thanks for sharing your memories. Sorry for grandmother's condition i believe this book willl guide you in helping her. However i did not find the author debunking on 'snake oil' directly i felt like he was only using that phrase to describe/mean something else.
