The Dark Web Murders by Brian O’Hare is a thrilling book, which is the fourth installment of The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries, in which a serial killer blogs and boats about his murders. The murders are described in gruesome detail, it will send shivers down anyone’s spine, and leave them looking underneath their beds.

Opening with ‘It was a soft prison, he had been told.’ is a line which draws you in from the get-go. O’Hare describes in such detail, it will make you want to hide under your covers at night, and just from the Prologue, I had chills down my spine, and didn’t want to put the book down.

Despite being in a series, The Dark Web Murders is one of those books, where you do not need to follow with the storyline; it’s a good stand-alone book, too, and is a very good read for those interested in the crime and thriller genre.

Reading this book, I found that time would go by quickly, as I was really drawn into the story. It might be too much for some, but the level of detail in the gruesome murders I found was very detailed, and extremely enjoyable for me. I would be reading this at night, which gave the feeling a more spookier feel, but I could be drawn in more, thus allowing me to draw myself in more.

I will give this a rating of 4 out of 4 stars for the exceptional writing, and extreme detail that O’Hare puts into his book. I found that I would be able to put myself in the characters shoes, and I would be extremely happy reading the other instalments to this series, just as I would be happy recommending this book to others who are into the crime genre.
