I particularly enjoy romance novels, and it is almost second nature to me in terms of reading to know that most romance story happen in sequence e.g the hero meets the heroine or the other way round, then they fall in love with each other after some time, then they have to pass through some obstacles to be together, and then they finally have either a happy ending together or sad ending apart, therefore when I read the description of this book titled Heartaches-Bad Boy Vibe by H.M. Irwing which maintained that this book is not for the fainthearted or prudish natured and that it contains steamy romance I was wondering what could be so different about this book? I mean its genre stated that it is a romance novel. These assertions made me to wonder about what the book's content but this book,Heartaches-Bad Boy Vibe by H.M. Irwing, surprised me from chapter 2 till the last chapter, I mean I was caught on aware by the unfolding of the events from chapter 2 till the end. The book also has a continuation, I can't wait to start reading the continuation now.

Basically, this book talked about Anna (the heroine) and Rafe(the hero). Both the hero and heroine had a horrid past which is still currently hunting them albeit separately, so when they met again in their current state at a gathering they both attended regularly before their horrid experiences, the hero immediately knew(from experience) that he had to save the heroine, and he started trying to do that only for his very own past(horrid experience) to now show up and not only did it showed up but it came back to form an alliance with the heroine's horrid experience. So what can the duo do? Will they be victors or victims of their circumstances? Will they try to combat these atrocities committed at their expense? Will they fight their battle together or separately? These questions were answered in this book and it's continuation(which I haven't read by the way ????).

Anna was a cute innocent girl who has had her fair share of maltreatment from her stepfather, stepbrother and also her school mates, despite the ill treatments she still held her head high and continued to live life a day at a time until she met Matt. To Anna, meeting Matt was the best thing that had ever happened to her, she thought that finally it's her time to be happy in life, so for sometime Matt was her all(her happiness, joy, fun e.t.c), however, not too long after Matt turned out to be a nightmare and an enemy to Anna as he crushed her dreams through his betrayal and didn't just end it at betrayal but also enslaved her and made her a sex slave for himself, his brother and his father. To find out if Anna was able to get freedom from this kind of maltreatment you just have to read this book, did Anna remain the same innocent girl? Did she become wild? Did she get saved? These questions and many more questions you could think of were answered in the book.

This book is grammatically cool, and I am rating it 3 out of 4. I rated it thus because I understood what the author was describing for example the feelings behind the hero's and the heroine's actions and most importantly the scenes just to mention a few. Similarly, the grammar was excellent and I couldn't find any word out of place in the book.

I like somethings about this book for example; The themes contained in the book e.g Rape(physical and mental), Betrayal, Helplessness and Enslavement are thing that happens in our current world and I personally have been working against them, so reading this book actually gave me an insight into what goes on in a victim's mind especially when the victim feels helpless. The story line was cool but description of the scenarios were not vivid enough for me, however the book is generally great as a romance novel.

As the description of this book rightly stated, if you are prudish in nature or fainthearted just don't bother in giving this book a try because it contained a lot of sex scenes that some may find obscene, it is also explicit in its description of those scenes. Thus, this book is for only matured minds and those with adequate self-control over their body. However, this book is worthy to be called a romance novel and I just can't wait to read it's continuation.
