I like the themes of love, family, friendships, deceit, and drug abuse. However, I don't think this is my kind of genre. I tried reading this a while back but I couldn't finish it.

This definitely sounds like an insightful and interesting read since the stories were written and inspired by daily life during the 70s. I find it so fascinating that one of the stories is reminiscent of The Notebook, and yet was written so long before. Thanks for the review!

Being a 70s girl, I automatically feel the call for reading it. Short stories books are quite relaxing to read and considering the easy language. This one looks like a jolly ride to me. We all could use a little laughs.

I'm not sure if I'll enjoy the 70s factor but the short stories sound like a fun read. It's not really my type of book anyway but I'm sure many readers will find it enjoyable.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I love your style of writing! This book sounds very enjoyable. I completely understood how they felt in the first story. Love and humor are needed more these days and the 70s was the decade of my teens and 20s. I have added it to my list of books I want to read.

Point to point after is the first short story in the book and is the only one I read a sample of. Would really love to know what happens to Mr.Zhen and his wife now that she's sick just like his mother was and how he's able to cope with all that.
Great review too on the other stories and would love to read that one on The cat burglars. Sounds interesting. Will surely make sure I get a copy

I'm always on the lookout for splendid short story collections and Tales of the 70's sounds like it will perfectly fit the bill. I love that the author has written this in a simplistic language and has given such detailed explanations of characters and events. This collection seems like it will be a very fun read. I will definitely be giving this a try. Thank you for the review.

I usually like books with collection of short stories in it. Seems I might as well read this book, as the reviewer said it has a simple language at least I won't have to be making a pause while reading the book just to get a dictionary 😅.

This sounds like a great collection of short stories about the seasons of life. I love when the stories deal with a wide range of topics as this enables readers of all backgrounds and experiences to read something relatable. I am also pleased to hear that the story is written simply and without unnecessary fluff. Thanks for the lovely review.
