The book is a collection of seven beautiful stories based on the theme of love, family, friendships, deceit and drug abuse. There is a rich use of irony, humor, metaphor, and similies. The review is awesome.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

Haven't read short stories lately, but used to love them. Didn't get the good stuff. I think it's time to revive. Well, it seems that most of all like The Cat Burglars, so I would like to start from this. Thanks for the review.

Writing stories from his collected personal experiences of something like forty years ago, David Done transports his readers to the seventies. Done's has written creatively using figurative language and humor. This is very interesting and down to earth. After reading this well written review,. I would like to read this sometime.

A descriptive tale that enables the reader to picture the characters in mind to the point of understanding their moods and emotions sounds great. Though short stories books don't interest me, I find this book unique and exciting to read through it's pages. I like that the author used simple language and added to his writing humor, metaphors, irony, and similes. These features makes the story seem even more enjoyable to read. I will read the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

The seventies were a time of dark wonder and music. Would love to read stories set during that era.

Thank you for the great review.

It seems that the author took great care with these characters. I don't know much about the '70s but it seems like it was an extraordinary time. Great job with the review.

The part i love the most in Short stories could finish in one sitting.. Better late than never.. Author David done did a great job congrats!.. He recollected his thought 40 years back Tales of 70's..and he took us with him along to San Francisco in 70's.. The story is about love, friendship, family and drug abuse... Reviewer clearely conveyed that he wrote about the good part of his life as balance as the bitter part and
added humour too.. Nice try.. Standard rating!

I am not a fan of period pieces, so I felt a little hesitant to try it from the title. But I love short stories and anthologies, and it seems like a nice collection. So, I'll give this a try.
