Your review does pique my interest in the book. My only question would be, "What is the author's background?" This is important to know, since it reveals the author's interpretive bias. And knowing the author's background could sway my choice to read or not to read this book. If he's a lifelong, die-hard fundamentalist, I would probably steer clear, because I am already familiar with the jest of fundamentalist teachings on sin and the fall of man. If he's a Jewish biblical scholar, I might be interested in reading it to consider an unfamiliar point of view. If he's a mainline Protestant biblical language expert, I might read it to learn how a careful scrutiny of the text supports or does not support the common, biased interpretations you learn in Sunday school.

Having done a review of the book, I totally agree with you that it is a great book. I have actually read it twice just to let the information sink deeper into my heart. Thanks for the great review.

I was pleasantly surprised at how deep it was.
