I read and reviewed this book a while back, however, I did not like it. Different perspectives, different point of views, indeed. Thank you for your thorough review. It's great to see a different opinion towards this book.

With beauty pageants, beatings, love, and racial diversity themes all blended seamlessly together, this one most definitely has a wealth of ‘mixed blessings’ within! Lovely review.
