Definitely hardcover. I despise dog ears and bends and folds in my poor paperbacks😭

However, there is something irresistible about a charming secondhand paperback with as much a story to tell in its dips and creases as in its content.

Paperback. When you hold a paperback, it's like a snuggly pet who keeps close to you, and makes you comfortable and warm. You hold it any way, the love just flows. :) Hardcover is more suited to flashing people with your impeccable library, which has been sorted by colour scheme/alphabetical order of titles or author name.

Yes, cost is a factor. I like getting 'Hard Copies' from the library and buying them when they bin them for sales.

My books are dog-eared. I've been chastised, but since I own them, continue, so you might despise my habit, but not mind a loan of my books. I like paperback best for cost and ease of portability.

Paperback is easier to carry around, but hardcovers feel more durable and special. I like both for different reasons.
