Have you ever had a dream that later actually happened?

Post by ALynnPowers »

This used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. Still on occasion now, but not as often. I've heard of a few other people who said that they experienced the same thing.

It's nothing significant for me though. Usually something really mundane. Like sitting in the cafeteria at school, and my friend sits down and complains about the tater tots being overcooked or something.

And once I dreamed that I was at my university and was walking in front of the library. I passed a girl who was carrying a smiley face umbrella, even though it wasn't raining. A few months later, this really happened, and I just stopped in the middle of the walkway with that shocking feeling of deja vu.

What about you?

Wowz. No, but sometimes I have these dreams where I go to a secret school and am taught how to live a better life.

It happens to me on occasion. It had actually been awhile since the last time it happened until just a couple days ago when I was just sitting on the couch playing with my kids and all the sudden bam! I was smack in the middle of something I had seen before. It's always very eerie to me. And I agree that it is usually just the most mundane things.

I don't think it's ever happened to me. However during both of my pregnancies, I dreamed that both of my babies were girls and this was before we found out. It turns out that both of them were girls. Maybe it was some strange maternal instinct or something. Because when I was awake, I never had a sense or epiphany as to what they were.

Not exactly but Ive had this recurring dream over the years. I dream Im in an old west town, with the old clapboard buildings and with a railroad track down the middle of the street. Im hiding in one of the buildings from something, I dont know what. Its a grey cloudy day, the buildings are kind of shabby run-down. I used to have this dream once or twice a year. About 10 years ago I was watching some old spaghetti western on TV, it wasnt that great of a movie and I was kind of bored with it. But when the good guys and the bad guys had the shootout at the end it showed the town in my dream. It was all there, the same old run-down buildings even the railroad track down the middle of the street. It was an eerie feeling, it was very real. I dont even remember the name of the movie. I cant explain it. One more thing, after I saw the movie I havent had that dream since.

I often have dreams that happen later, but like everyone else it is usually mundane things. I just had a dream that my first book reviewer would give me two stars and it happened three days later :)

If I had a dream that I would have a dream, and then I had a dream, does that count? :eusa-think:

Only if you had the dream you dreamt of having.

I think I'll write a poem called "The Dream I Dreamt of Having." I just like the sound of it.

I did have a dream that my sister was pregnant.

The next morning my mother called me and told me my sister was pregnant.

But that is the only time.
