The conversation between good and evil has been around since time immemorial. The conversation isn't as clear as day and night. This is because, in an ever-changing society, the rules and moral standings become dynamic. Who is the judge of what is good and what is evil?

Haatim, a theology graduate and blogger walks into the Ocotillo Library in Phoenix, Arizona for a quiet afternoon to browse through the internet. This, however, does not go as planned. A man invites himself to Haatim's table and offers him a job. The job which entails following around a woman whom George suspects is trailing him to kill him sounds intriguing in the otherwise boring life of Haatim. Haatim agrees to take the job. Abigael, the stalker, is a hunter for The Council of Chaldea. A council responsible for getting rid of demons from the earth. Abigael finds out that Haatim was trailing her and was planning on exposing the evidence he gathered to the police. But, in an interesting turn of events, Abigael ends up saving Haatim, and that's where their journey to Raven’s peak, a town ridden with mystery, begins.

Lincoln Cole takes his time to develop the plot of this Raven's Peak. The prologue sets the tone for the rest of the movie. We get introduced to Reverend Arthur and his quest to save his adopted daughter, Abigael. But the demon possessing Abigael makes a deal with Arthur, for it to leave Abigael's body Arthur will have to go with it to Hell. Abigael later learns of this deal and is on a quest to find his adopted father and save him from the said demon. Whether she achieves this feat or not, you will need to buckle up and find out. Haatim on the other hand is wandering through life without purpose and belief since he lost his faith in God after losing his sister to cancer.

The plot is thrilling, well-developed, and dramatic. I couldn’t find something I didn’t like about it. The fight scenes were well thought out. There is a chasing scene that any reader will fall in love with, it's real and intense. It also sets a good foundation for the rest of the book series. I can't wait for book two. It is also well edited and for that, I gave the book a rating of four out of four stars.

The book is a supernatural thriller with drama, I would recommend it to lovers of the same. I would also recommend it to young adults.
