[Following is a volunteer review of "The Pro-Achievement Principle" by Dr. Deborah Bright.]
The Pro-Achievement Principle by Dr.Deborah Bright is a non-fiction book that introduces and enlightens readers on the concept of personal responsibleness. The book differentiates responsibleness from responsiblity and describes responsibleness as a competency and trustworthiness that associate with those displaying a highly recognizable degree of reliability.
The book further explains how personal responsibleness can change a person's attitude and this will positively affect personal relationships and how you view yourself as a person. The Pro-Achievement Principle introduces an achieving attitude as a personal trait for Pro-Achievers and describes it as the operative attribute that characterizes the behaviour of Pro-Achievers.The book explains how personal responsibleness combined with an achieving attitude can make up the very nature of a Pro-Aciever.
It also educates readers with practical steps, how to become a successful Pro-Achiever and how to make Pro-Achievers in their team members. The author introduces other different characters such as over-achievers who seems obsessed with accomplishing certain goals and objectives. Pro-achievers tend to add value and make a difference in most of their work. They never consider ignoring personal needs and responsiblity in relationships to get their work done.
I really appreciate how Dr.Deborah used different real-life stories to explain how the principle works and how it can lead to life changing results. She also provides us with practicle questions that we can fill in and see the results of how our life is going on. The Pro-Achievement Principle is brief and short but carries a compelling message to the readers. There was no sign of any form of profanity in the book which I liked.
I did not see anything to dislike about the book. It is well written and edited with no grammatical or spelling errors. The book is properly structured and well organized. I also love how the book guides readers on how to become a good leader unlike most of the books about leadership that just motivates us.
I would like to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as it is well written and the language used is easy to understand. The author's writing style is quite enjoyable and the book can add value to the reader's life. I recommend this book to team leaders, bosses, managers, business owners and people who are working on self improvement. People who want to achieve things that are beyond their life will also love to read this book.
