If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Definitely become a real estate agent. Housing and land only goes up in value.

Nothing. I went to college later than most people (23) after spending a few years doing boring manual jobs, thinking i would be happy. But after a few years i yearned to achieve something so i signed up for a Chemistry degree and thank God it has led me to a great job which has allowed me to see a lot of the world and have a nice life. I wouldnt say science is my "passion" at all but in the current downturn im very lucky.
When I think back to how stupid and immature i was between 18 and 23 i want to slap my youngr self but it led me to meet some fantastic people at college and brought me to where i am now so i wouldnt change a thing.

Mike, I think we all have cause to cringe when we think back to our younger selves. But of course the thing is it was that immaturity, embarrassment and cringe making behaviour that made us the talented, mature and all-round wonderful
adults we now are!
I wish I were where I was when I wanted to be where I am now ..... there's a thought!

Very true Fran, i guess it all makes us the people we are today, you live and learn and you must (eventually) learn from your mistakes, however many times you repeat it. So now we are perfect, whats next

I wish I had opened up a mobile phone shop in the early nineties, calling it phones4us or something.

I would've taken Cosmetology the first time I went to college. If I'd done that I would have 4 -5 years (give or take a few months) work experience under my belt, I'd be more financially stable, and preparing to branch out on my own.

I know the only rule for the life - no regrets!:)
So I don't want to change anything in my previous life and everything I did for the better life in future. But may be if I had a chance not to work, so I would change my life in the past.

That is good. I wish I had done something like that, but I was young and stupid and just did crap jobs all my life.

I would have payed more attention in school. I regret it all the time. During high school I was more of the talker in class or the sleeper. The daydreamer and doodler. Everyone just assumed I was a ditzy stupid blonde that didn't have a thought in my head. So I sorta folded to their expectations thinking that's what I was suppose to be. Didn't care about school or education and most of my homework I paid a guy that liked me to do for me. I didn't get into being a book nerd until a few months after I finished school. Then with that and the smack on the face of how life is without having that education I realized how very important it was. When I did figure that out I hit it head on and read every book I could get ahold of and studied everything I possibly could to make up for it. I taught myself a lot. I started college later but I always regret not paying more attention and not getting the full effect while I had the chance. I tend to still shock people I went to high school with when they realize how smart I actually am when I wasn't in highschool. Proud of myself for turning things around. But I still regret not doing it in the right time.
