Am I am the only one who still pulls out an actual cook book to use anymore? I do use the internet for new recipes but I also have a few actual cook books that I use. My friends and family insist I am the only one left!?

HI, New here, but yes I still have some hard copy cookbooks, but there are sure some handy gadgets out there now, to make things easy.

Absolutely not...I prefer the physical book myself as well. I enjoy to underline words I don't know, important things that pops out to me and to be able to smell the book, LOL. I have read only 2 e- books my whole life. I love physical books. I have to have physical I'm very old school.

Yeah we do use it for some fine old recipes of sweet dishes.
I also use internet for new and easy recipes.

I prefer to use recipes online as I have limited room for bulky cookbooks. However, I appreciate the physical book and own a few that belonged to my grandfather. However, I'm a messy cook and tend to ruin recipes. I'd hate to destroy a cookbook with my inability to be clean

I search for recipes on the internet although there is an old cookbook in my dad's house that I use when I go home to visit him. I like finding new recipes to try out.

I have 2 3 inch binders filled with recipes from varius sources...have i made any of them....a few times.

You are not alone. The internet is fun for new crazy recipes but if I am gonna make a nice cake I go straight for a cookbook, biscuits, bread, puddings....cookbook.

I still use and prefer paper copy cookbook. My mother passed it on to me and it contains traditional recipe. I like it that way because I can add my version then pass it on to my daughter and her daughter. Traditional recipe that can lives on longer

well it depends upon the age i guess.
the new generations like me mostly use the internet than the old cooking books.
its easier for me. new versions and easy to follow and understand.
but as for my mom she still using the tradional cooking books that came from the old chefts in the country. the taste would be better and very authentic.

I have a small collection of cookbooks that I use but I mostly have books on baking. I have a few really good bread machine recipe books that I use quite often to bake bread and other things in the bread machine.

I have a TON of cookbooks on my shelves and LOVE to dig through them and get inspiration. But I have found that most of the time I pull things from Pinterest or my collected digital recipes when I am cooking or baking. I still love to collect my cookbooks and have a few tried and true favorites that I turn to for specific recipes, but most of the time they are just for browsing through and drooling over.

Oh yes. i have my kitchen cabinet that's full of them above the stove. If I'm in a hurry I play on the internet. if I'm trying to find a new meal to cook I will scan through my books.
