This book can serve both as a philosophical handbook and a personal-development guide. It raises profound points and asks thought-provoking questions that will get you reassessing your perception of certain things. Take, for instance, the question about the opposite of temptation and the way the author, Eckhart Aurelius Hughes, addressed it from two dimensions.

To truly get the most out of this book, I advise you to come with an open mind and to be patient enough with the author as he explores various frameworks to explain his views on certain topics. For example, you really need to be willing to hear another person out to appreciate the discussion of the three relationship types between temporal selves.

The most challenging yet most thought-provoking topic was "There is no Problem of Evil." This discussion opened my eyes to what inner peace, contentment and unconditional acceptance of unchangeable realities entail. This awareness was empowering and liberating. Looking back, I see that the confusion came from our biased view of realities, whereby we apply different measures to suit our different preconceived desires.

Another topic that deeply resonated with me was "How to Free Your Spirit and Manifest Your Love." This discussion comes in the form of suggestions. These suggestions contained insights that helped me evaluate my life and make needed changes. My favorite was suggestion ten. Looking back, it is clearer to me why I felt so pressured and drained when I overpromised or got my hopes too high. The worst part was that I lost myself yet had little or nothing to show for it.

I did not find any fault in this text. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because the discussion was animated and impactful. "In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All" will appeal to anyone interested in philosophical discourses or books on personal development and spiritual freedom. The work was exceptionally well edited.
