Fish Wielder Book Review
Fish Wielder is an epic fantasy adventure novel that follows mysterious hero Thoral, and his adventure sharing companion, Bradfast. The two embark on a dangerous quest where they meet an evil mage and an Elf. From there, many things unfold that leads to Thoral and Bradfast embarking on a much bigger and more important quest, destroying the Bad Religion. Of course, this quest wouldn’t be complete without its twists, turns and both good and bad luck involved.
My rating of this book is a 4 out of 4 stars. I give it this rating as it contains a thrilling story that kept me captivated throughout the whole book. I never knew what would happen next, and as soon as I thought I had predicted something it all changes and managed to surprise me every time. As well as this, it made me laugh out loud several times and I was very often chuckling away to myself. This book was hilarious and kept a grin on my face the whole way through. It was a very entertaining read.
There were a very very small handful of things that I wasn’t to keen on. Things such as the over repetition of certain phrases and jokes, near the end of the book, just got a tad annoying due to them not being funny anymore as I had read them one to many times. But this a nitpicky thing as there wasn’t many at all. They definitely do not take anything away from the book itself.
This book will definitely appeal to comedy book lovers and anyone who is a fan of fantasy. Most notably, those that are fans of Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia will enjoy this book as many of the creatures and a few of the plot points featured in this book feel inspired by these two book series, albeit in a very spoofy way. This just adds to the hilarity of this book and, in my opinion, makes it that much better.
If you are a fan of non-fiction, crime and somehow do not like comedy books than this book is probably not very suitable for you as it is a hilarious work of fiction and definitely has no intriguing murder that needs to be solved via a brilliant detective. Overall this book is hilarious, intriguing, engaging and very fun. J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison has done a great job at writing an entertaining book and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone to a least give it a go.
