My Story of Healing is an inspiring memoir of how the author, Timothy E McArdle, finally achieved full remission from the debilitating effects of rheumatoid arthritis. Diagnosed at the age of twenty-six, McArdle suffered for thirty-two years before he discovered a chiropractic plan of diet and exercise that alleviated his symptoms.

I enjoyed reading about the author's life, but there are some issues with the book. The first disappointment is that although the cover displays some food items, there is little information about the diet plan that the author followed. Another issue is pointed out by the author himself when he suggests skipping some of the chapters as they might be boring. I did not skip any part of the book, but the recreating of Facebook posts did lack interesting content. A third problem is created by the lack of editing. There are many grammatical errors that hindered my enjoyment.

The book is short and easy to read. The quality of the cover is impressive. The author has included some photos, which add to the narration. The additional stories at the end, referred to as "Oh God Moments," provide some new insights about the author's past. The last chapter, "From My Heart," summarizes McArdle's ideas for helping other sufferers.

It pains me to give this heartfelt book a low rating. I deducted one star for the editing, one star for the mundane chapters, and one star for the lack of content regarding the diet and exercise plan that the author followed. Sadly, I am giving this book two out of five stars. With better editing and organization, it would be worthy of a higher score. I admire the author for sharing his story and am sure that there will be opportunities for his experience to help others. At the end of the book, the author states, “All I had to do was eat the foods that were here when Jesus walked the Earth in their natural form. . . If I had known this then, my life would have been so much different.”

The book impressive despite its grammatical errors and short length! It’s great that the author’s insights were still impactful. Sometimes even books with imperfections can leave a lasting impression. What was the book about, and what kind of insights did the author offer?

I agee with you that even imperfect books can leave a lasting impression.
You asked what the book is about. Here is what I wrote in my review, "My Story of Healing is an inspiring memoir of how the author, Timothy E McArdle, finally achieved full remission from the debilitating effects of rheumatoid arthritis." I hope that answered your question.

The personal story of overcoming a long-term health condition through diet and exercise sounds inspiring. It’s always powerful to hear firsthand accounts of resilience and healing. However, the lack of practical details about the specific plan the author followed would probably be frustrating, especially for readers looking for guidance. The editing issues and repetitive content might also make it harder to stay engaged. While the story itself seems valuable, I’m not sure this would be a book I’d prioritize unless it’s revised or expanded to provide more actionable insights.
