The past few weeks have been very challenging for me. From personal issues to family demands. The whole thing was taking a toll on my mental health. I bought a copy of In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes hoping to find some closure, hoping to find reasons to keep pushing on. The following are my experiences reading this book.

The first thing that caught my attention was the book's title; there is something soothing, something assuring, something empowering about it. The second impression was the book's layout. The book was obviously carefully prepared and formatted. Nothing was out of order. The next impression was the warmth I felt reading the opening letter, especially this piece of love from the author to my heart: "Stay strong, my friend. There's beauty in the struggle." My spirit was renewed. I felt different, felt a new energy. Questions were coming forth. Could these "troubles" actually be means to more purposeful, meaningful ends? Maybe it's not all bad? Maybe I am not being singled out for a life of misery?

The author's perspectives on the issues discussed in this book are thought-provoking. I gained a lot of insights reading this book. My favorite topic is "How to Free Your Spirit and Manifest Your Love." It's liberating going through Hughes' comments on the act of letting go and clinging. I was highly impacted by the suggestions the author provided. The author does not come across as bossy; these suggestions are offered with unconditional love to help. I believe anyone who reads them with an open mind will record incredible improvements in their personal development.

I need to point out that some topics are philosophical. You might need to look beyond the surface meanings and might have to do some critical thinking to fully appreciate the beauty of the messages being conveyed.

I turned the last page of this book smiling, knowing that I am now a better version of myself, and for this incredible experience, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone willing to embark on a journey to personal development and spiritual awakening. This book was exceptionally well edited. I have no complaints to report or any suggestions for improvements.
