Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa by Tina Dreffin is a book that follows the journey of Tina Dreffin and her husband Peter Dreffin, who decided to go on an exciting sailing adventure with her children around the globe of Africa. Tina, who always had an admiration and an undeniable passion for sailing, decided to embark on a journey with her husband and her children from South Africa to the west coast of Africa into Namibia. Tina details to readers the toll it took on her both physically and emotionally having to be responsible for the safety of her sons and their friends in this adventure. Tina was vulnerable and highlighted the parental struggles she faced during this adventure. Tina details how she and her family had to adapt to living in different social and cultural environments.

I want to highlight this book's relatability as the author's writing style was very relatable as, at times, I felt I was part of her journey. The injection of humour by the author in her writing made this book more interesting and engaging to me. I also liked Tina's open-mindedness to different cultures and traditions that she was not familiar with. Tina and her family showed commendable respect for local customs and traditions, which helped them build strong relationships with the locals of the communities. Readers would learn the importance of having respect and open-mindedness to different cultures and traditions, as it helps avoid misunderstandings rather than breeds mutual respect. Another thing that stood out to me in this book was how vulnerable the author was in detailing her fears and some of the personal challenges she encountered during this adventure. This, for me, is very admirable, and I am sure readers would appreciate the author's honesty and courage in detailing this event.

Overall, I give this book a perfect rating of five out of five stars for the many reasons I have stated previously. I had no dislikes about this book, so there was no reason to deprive this book of a perfect rating. This book was edited flawlessly, as I found no grammatical errors of any sort. I give the author massive credit for this as it displays the author's undeniable commitment to ensuring that readers have a unique reading experience. I recommend this book to readers who love books that explore adventures.
