Review of Breksta's Academy

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Breksta's Academy" by Natasha Quay.]
When Breksta and her mother, Asteria, went for a picnic, they met a hunter named Dave, who informed them about some people who arrived wearing black and carrying rifles, being led by a woman with fiery red hair. After hearing that, Asteria's whole expression changed, and she hurriedly took Breksta home for them to pack their important belongings, and then they left the village and went into the forest. The woman with fiery red hair sent the people wearing black into the village to ask the whereabouts of Asteria, and when they did, the woman shot and killed Asteria and took Breksta to a place called the "Academy." There, Breksta discovers that the people dressed in black are actually children, and her mother was a Dreamer (people with unique magic abilities). Breksta finds a friend and sister in Hestia, the director's daughter. Together, they encouraged each other and became each other's keepers in the Academy. What a lovely story with a semi-sweet ending. The characters are well-developed, and the story is beautifully crafted. The story really draws your attention in such a beautiful way. I was really invested in Hestia and Breksta's friendship, or, shall I say, sisterhood? Although they are not related and their mothers are basically enemies, it doesn't stop or waver their love for each other. The character that I was always looking forward to reading about was Icarus. This is because he was a really interesting character, and I loved his character development. I also love Olivia; she wasn't mentioned much, but she was a very cute character, and I always looked forward to the scenes she was involved in. The character I didn't like was obviously the director; her thirst for revenge and vengeance blinded her and made her do a lot of horrible things. Truthfully, it's difficult not to love most of the characters because the author made them relatable.
I recommend Breksta's Academy by Natasha Quay to fans of fantasy books. If you like books with an element of magic, then you need to read this one. The storyline was on point, and the plot was great. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this book, so I would gladly give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Natasha Quay. I would also like to commend the author for ensuring that the book was exceptionally well edited.
