Review of In It Together
The world today is filled with many vices, and people tend to hide the truth to create an excuse for these vices. People try to create temporary solutions to ease their pain while completely forgetting that they are avoiding the truth. In his book,
I like that Scott, through his book, shows hope and resilience in the human spirit and ingenuity. He encourages readers to unite to tackle adversity, alleviate suffering, and create opportunities for a better future. The part I love the most is how inner peace was promoted without imposing strict rules, thus ensuring that guidance is offered with respect for personal freedom. The whole focus was on helping readers break free from spiritual or personal enslavement.
The author is a teacher, educator, and philosopher of our time. His words are genuine. What I loved the most is that he does not try to impose his beliefs on the readers. He just creates eye-opening scenarios and gives guides to help readers who need help to help themselves. As a religious and very spiritual person, I did not agree with everything he said. For instance, I did not agree with this quote: “There is no fight you need to win to have content inner peace and spiritual freedom.” As a spiritual person, I believe that one has to fight spiritually sometimes to get inner peace and spiritual freedom. This is just my opinion, and it does not affect the book's overall quality, as I did not dislike anything about it.
