Rick is a powerful character that teaches a lot about the darker and shadier parts of life.

Thanks for your very thorough review. I don't think this one's for me, especially because of all the trivial relationships included, but I hope others gain something from it.

When I read the sample, I was interested, but some of the writing style (the short sentences and paragraphs that felt stilted and too short) put me off. However, your review makes it sound so much better than my initial impression. Perhaps I will have to go and get the book. Thank you for your review.

Sounds like a strong effort on a difficult subject. It's another entry in the "there isn't a straight up good/bad in the world of drugs" story. Thanks for the great review!

What a striking book this must be when you forgot your own values in order to defend Rick and wish him to be safe. I myself feel attracted to this mild and clever character and I haven't read the book yet. Thank you for this appealing review!

As I have already said in my previous comments, books about something informs us more about that thing.

A copy of "Weaknesses" is a must for all law makers so that they know the type of law they make for drugs and people who deal in drugs.

I love when a book can entangle you so well that you begin to cheer for the 'bad' side. This sounds like an excellent crime novel.

Was an excellent review. I don't know if I will read this book or not because these books are often dark so not my cup of tea but review was so excellent and interesting that I may get a copy of it.

The review is well highlighted and precise. The sample of the book too is understandable. The book sounds simple and comprehensive.

I read the sample for this book. The author's writing style is wonderful. His characters seem complex and relatable. However, I've never been one for crime books.

I have always been on the the camp of people who believe incarceration of people for drug related offences does more harm than good. This book just seems to add credibility to our arguments. Thanks for the great review.

Lovely review. So Rick decided to continue doing what he did, only better prepared this time.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope you enjoy the book and are as surprised by the ending as I was. It was a great first novel for this author. I look forward to watching him grow as a writer and reading more of his work.
