The book Who Told You That You Were Naked, is an elaborate revisit into the very first encroachment of sin into the world. It gives a detailed analysis of the Christian daily life encounters with sin and provides guides for encouragement despite the many challenges the world poses to a believer in Yahweh.

There’s quite a number of attributes to like and enjoy about this book. Foremost is the level of intimacy the book is introduced by at the very start (the dedication), to the personalized experiences the author gives about their life. Also, the fact that the author uses well quoted scriptural pieces in the text, which helps build on the scriptural base of the reader.

A bigger plus to the book is the aspect of introducing review questions at the end of each chapter of the book. I think this works very well to engage the reader in their daily life experiences. It also has one slow down as they read, and review how they live their life. The book seeks more to teach and I think it has well accomplished that.

I also like how the author draws parallels between the Old and New Testaments. It adds depth to the content and gives a deeper understanding of just how similar and how much in agreement the Old Testament and the New Testament are.

There are, however, some misses I feel that were made by the author. While one may identify with the stories given and enjoy them too, some feel a bit too lengthy, especially for a young believer.

There occurs, as well, an aspect of repetition that I feel as being a bit too much. Nonetheless, it may, for some, suit as better emphasis.

Also, in as much as there is reference paid to the bible, let the greater bit of the text comprise of the author’s analysis and guidance as opposed to extremely lengthy quotations from the bible. Instead of such long bible texts added to the book, let the author just annotate the bible verse for the reader to pursue, otherwise the book may end up being a rewrite of the bible, yet readers seek the guidance of the author’s God given intellect.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.

The book does very well in terms of serving as a guiding platform for believers. I rate it as so because of its weight in terms of the author’s elaborate guidance, but deny it a four because of the few demerits I was bias against as stated. A rewrite of the bible may not draw one to read the book as much as they would want to.

I would recommend this book for any young Christian. Both young and mature in the faith. It is a great read.

I agree Rosemary... Part of the length I felt was due to the constant rewrite of scripture within the text... Nevertheless the message is relayed.
Thanks for going through my review.
