[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
"Snatched Up to Heaven" by a Christian couple, Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul, is an astounding collection of testimonies by their 4-year-old daughter Priyanka and 2-year-old daughter Deepika from 2011. They recount their visions of having out-of-body experiences, where they recount their souls' trip to heaven, carried there by Jesus and His angels. Jemima chooses to retain a lot of childish references to the visions, as recounted to her by her daughters.
Where all concepts of time are lost, they are able to describe their sojourn in heaven. Heaven and the gates of heaven are depicted in golden grandeur. There is peace, bliss, tiaras, and pretty dresses. There is love, peace, and musical worship of God. Everyone is related only to Jesus and lives in harmony.
The girls are given a peek into what happens in hell. Here, people are engulfed in an unending fire, tormented, and attacked by vile creatures and demons. The people in hell are filled with remorse for not making amends while they were alive.
Jemima goes on to detail every Bible verse in alignment with these astonishing visions that came out of the mouths of her children. She calls on everyone to live life purposefully in worship of God and in alignment with God's plans for our lives, and to give up everything that will take us far from heaven.
The book is edited well, and I rate it a 5 out of 5, as the author is able to encourage the average Christian reader to live a good life by drawing on the experiences of innocent children and finding parallels from the Bible. At times, the readers can feel detached from the book when they are overwhelmed with biblical references. Otherwise, I recommend this book to anyone who has always imagined what happens after this worldly journey, from a Christian perspective.
