The Night Is Dark and Full of Terrors

The night is dark and full of terrors,
but the fire burns them all away.
Praise be to the one true god R’hollor.
The night is dark and full of terrors.
Worshipping the Seven was but an error,
Melisandre has shown me the true way.
The night is dark and full of terrors,
but the fire burns them all away.

You're a Game of Thrones fan!
I love it, I can even see a character in the show reciting it. Great job!

Yes, I am a GoT fan.

My favorite characters are Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen.
Thank you for you compliments on my poem.

I am out of the loop of what GoT is so all I'm reading is a worship verse to some god. The verse is well written but I can't enjoy it much because it seems...I don't want to sound offensive but it seems pagan like wish I would understand if I am aware that this is merely fictional work but I have the problem of sometimes taking things very literal.

Jaime, in the world of Game of Thrones there are different religions and they are all pagan-ish, which is what I wrote about. The poem would not be as interesting to someone who is not a GoT fan and probably not to someone who is Christian who is also not a GoT fan.

Thanks. I thought you were speaking about a TV series but I did not connect GoT and Game of Thrones because I've never watched the show.
