I was watching Clay and went, “This isn’t Clay. Please release the real Clay. This is just a bad version of him.”
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact he didn't read the book. He said he didn't want to confuse the character in the book with the character in the show. I found that incredibly frustrating.

This is obviously quite an old thread, but I just wanted to add that I saw the series and haven't read the book yet at all. I was hooked immediately and have now just finished watching the second series. Is the book worth reading after having watched the series or is it basically the same?

Yes, I have watched it and read the books. They’re both worth the read and watch. I give it a ten out of ten!
