She cried she wept she fell to her knees
Beaten down shaken up how could this be
She wanted to be happy . She didn't wanna be sad
She had a good life . It wasn't bad.
So why did she feel broken and empty inside
Why didn't she love herself . Why did she hide?
She never gave herself fully away.
She didn't always say what she wanted to say
How many times had she left when she wanted to stay?
Or been so moved to do something, only to wait.
She tells herself soon it'll change.
She tells herself her life will be happy when she gets away.
But she knows it's a false hope
She knows it'll take more
She just doesn't know if she can do it
She just isn't sure.

Great poem! I really like that it rhymes and the first half of the poem is very emotional, I'm sure some of us can relate to feeling low despite also thinking that we shouldn't be feeling that way. Good job
