Jollof Rice
Tomato past
Cooking oil
Tablet cube

1, steam meat (cut into cubes)
2, fry meat in oil
3, prepare stew or sauce and add fried meat
4, add water to the stew and add rice
5, allow to cook, stir occasionally.

Crockpot meals are my go-to for fall sports season. Since all 4 kids like meatballs and mashed potatoes, I decided to combine them for a warm filling meal on a rainy day. I'm feeding a family of 6 and relying on leftovers for work for my husband and I, so the ingredients can be cut in half for most families.

Gravy meatballs
2 bags regular frozen meatballs from Aldi
1 big can and 2 small cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 pack onion soup mix
2 packs brown gravy mix from Aldi

I mixed the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix and 2 packets of brown gravy mix together with water. I used the big can from the mushroom soup to measure my water, I filled the can 1.5 times. You don't want to add too much water or your gravy will be runny. Pour the mixture over the frozen meatballs, cover and cook on low for 6 hours. You can put over mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.

I do believe that today would be an excellent day for a BBQ. I will be making hamburgers (rare) with a nice pasta salad. I will take mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini and a large burb of garlic on the BBQ also. It will be a wonderful "approaching the end of summer" feast!

Made homemade hot wings in the oven. Cooked pork chops as well with fried moose meat. Fried asparagus with fried corn in lemon flavored olive oil. Baked raisin bannock and simple Kraft Dinner.
