Review of Trusting People

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Trusting People" by Guy L De Furia.]
Relationships in our world today seem to be totally different from what they were before; the rate of divorce is high, the rate of friends killing each other is high, and the rate of broken homes is also high. Where are we getting it wrong? Trusting People by Guy L De Furia is a book that, if fully understood and applied, would help you make the right choices with regard to relationships.
This book seeks to answer most questions about trust. A few of the key things talked about were interpersonal trust and self-trust. It is important to note that trust is vital for any relationship to blossom. And in different spheres of life, we find ourselves in situations where we are left to find a trusted partner or to establish trust with someone. The author did amazing work in explaining different areas of life where trust is found, for example, at school, work, family, etc. What are the necessary things and attitudes needed to establish a trustworthy relationship? It's always amazing to come across books that talk about sensitive issues that eat up lots of relationships in society and the nation at large. Trust is a very broad concept, and most people whose trust has been violated seem not to ever want to trust someone again. This book addresses those issues, and the narrative style used by the author in this book makes the teaching more relaxing and practical than just theory. I believe that with this book, lots of people will be able to redefine trust and inculcate the attitude of a trustworthy person in the different places they find themselves. I loved the writing format; it was different from the conventional format and made the book look serious. I also love the fact that the book was properly edited, showing that there were no errors.
The minor challenge was the exercises. I feel that providing the exercises at the end of the chapter would be more clear than making them available at every point in the book. This isn't something that affected my reading. Therefore, I still maintain that the book is brilliant and would give it a rating of five out of five stars due to what has been discussed above.
Books like this aren't meant for a particular class of people; therefore, I would love to recommend this book to every teenage and adult reader, as it would provide insight into who to trust and who not to trust.
