Review of In It Together
In It Together by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is an inspiring and well-thought-of book that emphasizes the importance of unity and collaboration in our journey through life. Hughes delves into the interconnectedness of humanity and how our actions, no matter how big or small, can have a huge impact on others. He effectively explores the concept of empathy, encouraging readers to engage in compassionate and meaningful connections with those around them. Through personal anecdotes and insightful reflections, Hughes inspires us to embrace our shared humanity and work together to create a better world. In It Together works as a powerful reminder of the strength and potential we possess when we come together as one.
I enjoyed reading the suggestions offered as some of the things mentioned, like how we should learn to let things go. That is something I have a hard time doing. Hughes goes into detail about accepting the world as it is and is not attempting to fight the forces of nature. For example, the should, the ought, and the try. Those come from not wanting to do something in the first place. I will share a few personal experiences with you. I was going to a behavioral health clinic a few years ago, and I noticed a sign. That sign was of Yoda saying, “You either will, or you won’t. There’s no try.” Also, another time, back when I was in school studying to be a Certified Nurse Aide, I lost my hours at my job and said something to my instructor about my needing to get finished, he told me, ‘We will try.’ That was the most deceptive comment I have ever received from a school teacher.
Everything that was written was agreeable. If there was anything to dislike about the book, I would have to say that there were two incredibly long chapters. I think they could have been broken down into a couple of smaller chapters.
In It Together is highly recommended for anyone interested in learning about inner peace and acceptance and what we can do to achieve that. It is one of the best self-help books out there. Hughes mentions a small amount of religion without shoving it down your throat.
While reading this book, I noticed how perfectly it was edited and proofread. That was a job well done. I have also seen no grammatical errors or typos, earning a 5 out of 5 stars. Great job! I want to read more of his stories.
