Review of Thriving in the Storm

[Following is a volunteer review of "Thriving in the Storm" by Bill Murphy.]
I gave it 5 out of 5 Star. In this self-help book, Bill Murphy shows us how to thrive in any situation and reach our goals. He shares his journey of overcoming abuse, PTSD, mental health issues, and crises to become a successful business owner, speaker, and athlete. He also teaches us nine principles and 21 mental exercises that have helped him, and others overcome challenges.
The book has three parts: Part One tells us our three options when facing a storm: give up, survive, or thrive. Part Two explains the nine principles that can help us thrive, such as finding why, changing our thinking, taking action, and being resilient. Part Three gives us 21 mental exercises that can help us practice the principles and change our lives.
The book is easy to read and understand. The author uses stories, examples, quotes, and research to make his points and back up his claims. He also gives us questions, exercises, and summaries at the end of each chapter to help us think and act.
