[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]
Term of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice is a Science fiction by Craig W. Stanfill. That follows Kim, who lives in a future world run by AI. The reader goes along with Kim on her journey of self-discovery. Together Kim and the reader learn the secrets about the AIs and the companies that run her world.
Craig's world-building is fantastic. Craig helped the reader picture what the world looked like. A plus was that the author provided a link to a world guide and a glossary to understand the world better. The story's flow allows the reader to get to know the main character Kim and the other characters. Kim felt real, and any reader could connect with her.
There wasn't a time when the story lagged. Each sentence keeps the reader wanting to know more. For example, each chapter ended in a way that made it easy for the reader to want to move to the next chapter. Craig was able to keep the balance of character and plot, and neither was overdone. Craig did a good job using the English language. There were no confusing sentences or misspelled words.
I rate Term of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice a 5 out of 5 stars. This book has the potential to be a very popular book in its genre. It was well-written and enjoyable, and the world-building was phenomenal. The author wrote very relatable characters, especially the main character Kim. The description of the technology in the book showed the author knew the subject well.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves science and technology. This book would be a great book for anyone who is looking for something different in science fiction. This book is a great way to kick off the series. If you're looking for a new fun writer to add to your collection, I recommend reading this book.
