Review of In It Together
Before this day, sincerely speaking, I would never have guessed that there’s a means to finding the inner peace and satisfaction we all desire in a matter of seconds. I normally thought that "self-actualization" was a futuristic term that we build towards, not something that is achievable within minutes of knowing where to look and what to look for. This is something that the book, In It Together by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes, thoroughly dwells on. In this book, the author reveals certain truths about inner peace, spiritual freedom, and that state of accomplishment that every human tends to look forward to.
Eckhart Hughes explained that if we shed all the materialistic aspects of our human life, including the flesh we "wear," we are all one and the same, with a consciousness that is very identical and, because of this, sees everyone as it sees itself. After stripping us of our material possessions, which include our human flesh, the author puts us back together, all the while identifying the inner peace within us, and presenting eleven suggestions to ensure that we find the peace and liberty that lie within us, not ahead of us.
To be totally honest, I spent way more time reading this book than was necessary, mostly because I lingered on a few paragraphs to gain much-needed insight into the thoughts of the author. Despite the fact that I’m not huge on books of this genre, this was a new experience for me, one that will be indelibly scripted in my maturing mind. I followed the advice of the author by reading it with an open mind, and the insight and knowledge I gained are ones unparalleled by any before them. I feel blessed to have read this book, as I now have a chance to accept the unchangeable things in my life and put my focus on making the choices that only I have the power to make. This book was highly educational, liberating, enlightening, and informative, to say the least. The author was not commanding, only suggestive, as he made sure to engage the reader and make him see that true happiness lies not in fame, wealth, or health, but within each and every one of us. I could go on and on about what I positively gained from this book, but I’ll leave you with this.
Despite the actual seriousness and urgency of the matter at hand, the author made no effort to hastily deliver his suggestions, but made sure they were all well-detailed and understandable. From my standpoint, no aspect of this book is worth considering negative, as reading it steered me down a positive path I didn’t know already existed.
The editor of this book did an exceptional job of editing it, as I wasn’t able to find a single error in its enlightening pages. All said and done, I bestow on this book a well-deserved rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I would appropriately recommend it to people seeking inner peace and spiritual freedom, to those who, no matter what they achieve, always feel discontent and always believe that the grass is greener on the other side. Get your copy, and with an open mind, you’re certain to learn more things than you bargained for.
