[Following is a volunteer review of "Unicorns Know Magic" by Charles Adkins.]
Unicorns Know Magic is the story of four unicorns born in space named Abby, Georgia, Bitsy, and Chase, who moved in next door to a brother and sister. The unicorns built a home that was an eight-story building. They later became friends with the brother and sister who lived next to their home, and they had many adventures together. The unicorns took the two kids on tour. They eventually got hungry and went to a French restaurant for croissants.
They took the children to a town in London, and they all met with the queen. The unicorns marched alongside the guards and were given buckets of oats. While camping under the stars, the children and unicorns roasted marshmallows. They made the decision to bring the unicorns to school on Monday. If you get the book Unicorns Know Magic, I believe you will enjoy the fascinating story of unicorns.
This book appealed to me for various reasons. Firstly, Ros Webb's illustrations were beautiful and colorful, and I believe they will stay in the minds of growing children. Webb's art style was also easy, and I believe that children can practice art from these images.
The friendly nature of the unicorn could teach children about kindness and how to treat others. Charles also kept the book short and simple, which I believe will not bore children. I liked the plot, and the author did a good job of explaining how intelligent unicorns are. The author's use of pictures makes the book detailed and well-explanatory.
I dislike nothing about this book, and I will rate Unicorns Know Magic by Charles Adkins 5 out of 5 stars because the book was written in simple English, and children would easily understand the lessons that come with it. I recommend this book to children aged 5 to 10 who love adventure stories. Also, people who love unicorns will absolutely enjoy this book.
