EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an excellent and unique book. A tale of a honeymoon turned adventure. The protagonist Kelly the sister of a United States senator, and Tom Turbulo, a sergeant of the Carson city police department, went to a barefoot sand resort and spa on a Caribbean island in Honduras for their honeymoon. On an excursion around the island, Kelly missed her bus but saw a storefront disguised with piggy toys. Kelly stepped into the shop and discovered the store concealed a high-tech lab with several interactive screens that showed the maps of two countries and many blinking colored lights managed by a terrorist organization. Inside the store, Kelly was attacked by a man, but she managed to escape and was pursued by a group of six dreaded men. The couple Kelly and Tom made it back to the US. Still, they soon returned with a team to investigate who was behind the Lab's activities and the terrorist organization that planned to bomb North America using an electromagnetic pulse. Will they succeed in neutralizing the plan of the terrorist group? The answer to this and many more is in the book EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer.

The book is colorful. I like the character and plot development. The interview with Dr. Peter Kinney, where he explained the solar flare and its dangers, gave me more understanding of the subject matter. Also, I am so impressed with the author's creative thinking in the book and how he switches the scene to give the readers an idea of what is happening at different locations. The simple and easy-to-understand choice of words applied in writing this excellent piece made it more interesting.

The book EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer was exceptionally edited, well-structured, and flawless. However, as I read the book, my mind was running back and forth about why the author included Kelly, a civilian without any military knowledge, in an investigative team that returned to Honduras. I kept asking myself if her safety was considered harm she could draw to such profile investigation, knowing fully well that one of the men at the store had at one point seen her face. Anyways, the observation did not make the book any less enjoyable. It was captivating, with suspense that captured my attention, and I read the book nonstop.

Given that the book EMP Honeymoon was exceptionally edited, well structured, and without blemish, I rate the book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend the book EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer to readers that enjoy action-packed books.
