Butterfly Awakens by Meg Nocero is a poignant autobiography that instills a thirst for life in you. The book is the story of nearly 53 years of life, narrating her journey from when she was a teenager to her recent life events. An incredulous child, Meg always felt different from the rest, even her siblings. But that did not stop her from wanting to make her life look like a dream. She achieved that with the strong support of her mother, who guided her and held her up when the world was cruel. Unfortunately, Meg loses her mom to a long and arduous struggle with breast cancer, which leaves her very untethered from her life. The loss of the biggest cheerleader in her life crumbles Meg physically, emotionally, and mentally. Slowly, she takes baby steps toward learning to function by herself without an anchor. She regains her footing, writes a book, spreads her truth to millions of others, and fights the ultimate battle of life by walking the El Camino. Witness Meg as she reclaims control of her destiny and learns to live independently with the support of newfound friendships.

Reading Butterfly Awakens was a riot of emotions. Initially, I was crying with Meg as she absorbed the loss of her mother, then I was rooting for her to grow out of her cocoon, and later I was cheering as Meg shone in her life and inspired others like her. Meg is a gifted writer, and as a reader, I deeply felt that when she took us through her life and created a sense of comradeship in her battle. I was endeared to Meg from the very first page because she showed her true self through her writing. When I read a book, this is a plus for me. I love Butterfly Awakens for making me care so much for the author. The ability to connect with the reader intimately is a strength and the key to ultimate success. I noticed that Meg Nocero imbibed the voice of Oprah Winfrey in her writing. She was struggling to find her footing but was strong. Apart from this big plus point, reading Butterfly Awakens was a pleasant and uplifting journey.

I do not have much to complain about with this book. At one point, Meg was going through the motions of publishing her first book, and it felt like being caught in a whirlwind of actions as a reader. A lot was happening at once, and it was overwhelming to read, but I believe her life must have been that way because that is the unquestionable reality. So, I will not hold that aspect against the author. Other than this small quip, I do not have any other negative points for Butterfly Awakens.

I rate Butterfly Awakens by Meg Nocero 5 out of 5 stars because Meg deserves it for laying her truth bare for the world to see and inspiring others. Also, I did not encounter any errors while reading Butterfly Awakens, and I deem this book exceptionally edited.

Butterfly Awakens depicts the author's journey through grief. Meg aims to help others reclaim their lives and authority by being an example and speaking the truth to the world. So, Butterfly Awakens is perfect for people who are despondent and would like to read a real-life example of a miracle. Also, Meg Nocero did not build her life on coincidences but by constantly struggling to get back on track to her dream life. It indicates that Butterfly Awakens can be read by practical guidance seekers. Any reader, young or old, can read this book and gather the courage to get back on the horse called life. Let your inner butterfly come out of your cocoon and spread your wings to the rhythm of life.

This is a beautiful story of Meg. I can feel that I will have a teary eye when I read this book. I like the title. When someone is still inside the cocoon, that's the time to heal and prepare to fly high like a butterfly. Pretty sure this book awakens me to accept all the flaws because what happens are destined to happen, and everything is in control. I enjoyed your review!

The absolute truth in a memoir is critical to connect with the author and their story. It must be scary to bear yourself to all, but it is much appreciated by the reader because it establishes trust.

I had forgotten I had this book on my list to read. Thank you for your lovely review and reminder!
