Review of David's Sling

[Following is a volunteer review of "David's Sling" by Andrew Ceroni.]
David's Sling by Andrew Ceroni is a captivating story about a man named David. David is a top CIA agent, a husband and soon-to-be father. This book chronicles the ups and downs of his life as he balances family and his career. His family's lives are at risk when a sibling of someone David murdered during a war seeks revenge. Multiple threats are targeted at David and he has also has a few death scares. David has to manage keeping his family safe from these threats and still has to go back to work and make more enemies. This book is also a sneak peek into the lives of other CIA agents as they may go through similar incidents.
This book was incredible. It was jam packed with action and suspense. The story was often unpredictable. It was a milestone after another. This really kept me on my toes as I was always left interested in seeing what was going to happen next. There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. It was also professionally edited as I only spotted very few errors in the book. The author's writing style was so clear and free flowing. I didn't have to force myself through certain parts. I enjoyed the whole book. The chapters and scenes just breezed into each other. It was an exceptional read.
My favorite character was of course David, our protagonist. He was a fearless, dedicated worker and very protective of his family. The lengths he went to save his wife and unborn baby was unfathomable. I doubt any man in the real world would go that far to protect his family. Other than his status as a family man, he was an incredible agent. This man would go on missions with the help of the whole defense force and solve the cases single-handedly. His skills were incredibly impressive. Reading this book also made me empathize more with the life that comes with being a CIA agent. I must admit, it is indeed a very stressful and dangerous life to lead. Although this book is a fictional book, these instances are most likely to happen or have already happened to some real agents. That made me understand their lifestyle.
This book was amazing. I have no other words. It was written like a movie. You can't help imagining the scenes while reading the book. This is the most dramatic and exciting action novel I've ever read. The author did an amazing job writing this novel. I rate this book a whopping four out of four stars.
I definitely recommend this book to the action lovers. This book is packed with gunshots and dead bodies. You wouldn't want to miss this one for the world. It is a flawless action novel that you definitely have to read.
