[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Drowning in emotions" by Victoria Crutchfield.]

Love is one of the most often discussed emotions in the world. It can be found in all forms of art, and is, of course, a key theme in poetry. Drowning in Emotions by Victoria Crutchfield is a book of poetry separated into five sections. We get to experience the author's feelings like desire, love, and optimism in it. Not only do we get to see her go through pain, but we also get to see her find redemption. The poems are about the author's experience with love and all the sensations that come with it.

I enjoyed how straightforward the poetry was. Because of the author's use of plain language, I was able to easily comprehend what she was saying. The poems were also quite short and to the point, which I liked. The book's imagery was also vivid. Through the author's words, I was able to put myself in her shoes. The book's tone and vivid visuals generated a sort of vicarious experience. Some of the poems were really moving. The poems that portray the author's longing for genuine love and her reminiscing over her lovers are particularly noteworthy.

The themes of love, desire, agony, and salvation were extensively handled in the work. The author went into great detail about them and was completely open about her emotions. We can sense the author's sincerity and vulnerability in the poems. We sense her yearning for connection and commitment, as well as her desire to love and be loved in return.

This book has nothing in it that I didn't enjoy. The underlying concept of love was present throughout the novel, and the author's sentiments and experiences were intriguing to read about. It was fascinating to follow along with the author on her quest for love. As I read each poem, I felt like I was on a journey, which delighted me. I also enjoyed the book's cover since it was a brilliant representation of the subject. The final poem had a cinematic feel to it, and it brought the book to a dramatic conclusion, which I appreciated. Overall, the book was a pleasure to read, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because I had a lot of fun delving into the author's views on love and redemption. I believe this book was well edited because I only discovered one grammatical error. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes poetry that deals with issues such as love and its ramifications.

There are lots of times I skip poetry books unless they are specifically recommended. I enjoyed your review and what you said about these being easy to understand. I might just try it.

The title of the book was honestly interesting but as soon as I started reading, I didn't feeling any connection or emotion to it.

Tap into your own emotionality.
Perhaps write in scenes, make a sympathetic character so we as readers we identify with the character.


Also , tease us with hints of what's to come.

I usually love poetry but this book was a miss for me. Your review on it is really good, but personally I prefer poetry that I feel more of a stronger connection to, and I just didn't feel that with this.
