Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is an adventurous story about a group of pets with problem-solving abilities. In this fifth volume of the cat detective series, Inca the Siberian kitten and her colleagues are in Korea on a mission. Inca and her family went on a trip to the Korean Peninsula, where their human mom was invited to be a judge at a cooking show and debut her new cheese. Their mom’s cheese went missing at the airport, and the detectives had to start their job on arrival. Also, in Korea, a brother needed to be reunited with his sister. Join Inca and her colleagues as they solve these problems.

There are a lot of things I liked about this book. The book contains a lot of beautiful illustrations to excite readers. I especially liked the picture of the tiger that had every animal staring, and the kitten feeling proud of her lineage. I liked how the author portrayed the importance of family in the book. Inca and her colleagues went all the way from South Korea to North Korea to reunite a family. Also, the cooking competition was organized between South Korea and North Korea to promote peace. I think it is essential for kids to learn to live peacefully together, irrespective of their differences.

I can't think of anything that I seriously did not like about this book. Although I thought the book would have been better with fewer characters. Having fewer characters will allow kids to become familiar with all of the characters. I did not find anything else that I thought the author could have done differently.

My rating for this book is 4 out of 4 stars. This is the second book in the cat detective series that I am reading, and I did not like it any less than I liked the previous one. Although I found a few errors, they were not enough to distract me from reading. I was entertained and found a lot of important lessons for young readers.

I recommend this book to children between the ages of 7 and 12. There are a lot of entertaining activities for young readers, and the missions are fun to read about too. The book also has important lessons that are essential for kids. Also, pet owners will find this book appealing and will appreciate their pets more after reading it.
