Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula

R.F. Kristi introduces us to a group of animal detectives in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. Inca is a cat of Siberian origin and is the head of the detective agency. Missy is the human mother of the animals, whom they collectively call mom.
There is exhilarating information Missy has received. She has been invited by Le Cordon Bleu as one of the judges of the French Patisserie competition to be held in South Korea. Additionally, Missy will get an opportunity to present her special cheese in front of international judges that will impeccably improve her cheese business. Sadly, mom’s cheese bag is missing when they land in South Korea. Inca and her team decide to act quickly. They have to find it and expose the thief! The action doesn’t stop there. The detective team has to cross over to North Korea for yet another mission. What is it? Will Missy’s cheese be excellent enough to receive worldwide recognition?
Aren’t the animals magnificent! The pictures say it all. I would devote a whole day admiring them and still not get bored. That’s what I loved most. Then there’s a way Kristi composed the book in a manner that I could play the happenings in my head.
Not to be biased, but I loved Inca and cherished how she headed her agency. She was not opinionated. Instead, she allowed her team members to chip in their thoughts when their skills were required.
Missy was also an intelligent caretaker. She did not display more affection to a particular animal; hence, avoiding unnecessary melodramas among them. Fromage, Inca’s brother, helped mom create her unique cheese, but the way he brags about it would make you think he was the sole creator. It was humorous to read that.
The book is professionally edited, as I did not note even a sole error. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars for lack of anything to despise. I recommend it to kids who cherish books with animal foundations.
