[Following is a volunteer review of "Happiness is All We Want!" by Ashutosh Mishra.]
Are you struggling to find true life happiness and avoid life fears? You will find this book helpful. Written by Ashutosh Mishra, Happiness is All We Want is a nonfiction self-help book written to give essential details on always leading a happy life. Have you ever wondered why you have your dream car, mansion, or dream job, but you are still unhappy? You probably need to read this book which entails essential physical, mental, and psychological well-being guidelines. In its 16 chapters, the author describes developing certain habits for whoever seeks to remain happy. The suggestions made in this self-help book are practical and relevant to all.
The author starts with an introductory part that gives an overview of what the book will be focusing on and later divides it into three sections dedicated to mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. In the first part, the author compares the mind to a restless monkey and explains that it's only through calming the mind that we can achieve true happiness, giving examples of techniques such as meditation. The second section deals with the physical body, compared to an overburdened donkey as some treat their bodies. Others treat their bodies as horses that are never overburdened by tasks hence remain healthy. In the next part, Ashutosh emphasizes and explains that we all ought to be at peace with our spiritual being to avoid some fears that may bring sorrow to us. Mishra later gives a summary of what the books talk about in the last portion of this book.
The book is professionally written, and technically the author understands why self-help books could be monotonous and avoids that by giving practical tips, happy moments, and wake-up stories. I also liked the author's tone in suggesting a new habit to the reader by using words like, please. The examples given in the book are also convenient and simple. The writing style is also descriptive and well-structured with simple language. All the chapters are well developed with realistic and solid information.
Overall, I didn't dislike this book but admired the author's perception of life happiness. The book contains no grammatical errors, and it is not dull; thus, I kept on reading to the end. The fact that the author presents their ideas clearly without repeating concepts and within a few pages is a thumbs up. This book is the best I have read recently on self-development. At the end of the book, the author summarises the techniques described giving their durations and the main focus.
This book would prove a real help to anyone regardless of their gender, race, religion, or ethnicity because we all deserve happiness in life. Anyone who is happy today and feels unhappy the next day will also find this book educational. It's also a good book for self-development for anyone recovering from an extended state of life unhappiness. Also, the book has no instances of profane language or sexual scenes; it's thus a good read for anyone. Therefore, I rate this book four out of four stars because it's professionally written and no grammatical errors, and is exceptionally well-edited. Indeed "Happiness is all we want."
