[Following is a volunteer review of "Love, Grandma" by Ann Morris.]
Do you like lighthearted and colorful books? Do you want to read a book full of heartwarming stories? If the answer is yes, Love, Grandma is exactly what you are looking for. Love, Grandma, written by Ann Morris, is a lovely book for children. Ann Morris has written many exceptional books for children in English and Spanish, such as Mommy and Mikel Go for a Walk , Surprise in Auntie’s Garden, and Do It Again.
Love, Grandma is an adorable picture book written in rhyme. There are 20 pages of colorful illustrations that demonstrate the three main characters doing various activities. While writing this book, Ann Morris was inspired by her experience with her two granddaughters, Payton and Haley. The book describes how the loving grandmother dances with bears, gives pony rides, bakes cookies, and tries to do a cartwheel with her granddaughters.
There are many things that I liked about the book. First of all, I really enjoyed the message of the book. Love, Grandma perfectly demonstrates the love between grandmothers and granddaughters. The book made me very emotional as it reminded me of my grandmother and the fun times we had together. I believe that it is a great book for grandmothers to read to their grandchildren. As mentioned earlier, the illustrations were adorable and are sure to grab children’s attention.
There wasn’t anything that I disliked about the book. The book was professionally edited, and I did not spot any mistakes. Undeniably, Ann Morris did an amazing job with the book. Love, Grandma is nicely illustrated and has an important message. I believe that readers of all ages can enjoy the book.
I rate Love, Grandma 4 out of 4 stars. The overall experience was very positive. I enjoyed the story, and the characters were lovely. The fact that Love, Grandma was based on the author’s experience made the book more special. The book has adorable illustrations and rhymes on all pages that make the reading more fun. I would recommend it to readers of all ages.
