Official Review: Denying The Stylus by Brian D. Campbell

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Denying The Stylus" by Brian D. Campbell.]
Denying The Stylus by Brian D. Campbell is a novella of about 109 pages. This book revolves around a man, Tristan, who stayed in a psychiatric hospital for years, even though he appeared to be free from any form of mental illness. Tristan’s stay at this facility stemmed from a supposedly positive proof he made about time traveling, and this was about Edgar Allen Poe. As the book progressed, I found out that his years at this facility, although appearing to be a matter of choice, was an issue of duress.
Furthermore, Tristan decides to take a move which was somewhat unexpected by me. When I came across this part of the book, I had so many questions running through my mind concurrently. Will he succeed? Are there powerful people that are likely to stop him? If they exist, do they know of his plan? I got the answer to these questions in my course of reading this book.
Denying The Stylus is a powerful fiction story that grips the mind of the reader throughout the flow of the book. It was so engaging that I was barely distracted by anything around me. Another element that’s worthy of note in this book is the level of description present in it. It is indeed top-notch, and it made for a realistic read.
The book had a little suspense in it. Also, it was slightly humorous and a tad emotionally wrenching. On the other hand, the twist I came across in this book was out of this world. My jaw dropped as I got to this part of the book.
I can’t even fault the author or dislike anything about any part of this book. Except for a few minor errors I stumbled upon, it is safe to conclude that this book was well-written and professionally edited.
The part of this book I loved most is the interview between Tristan and another character, Ethan. Their conversation was one I looked forward to as I enjoyed the way Tristan narrated his experiences on the issue of time traveling. I appreciated this because it was quite revealing and entertaining. I also loved the fact that the book was straightforward and easy to understand, as there wasn’t any form of unnecessary description and verbosity.
I believe this book deserves a full rating. Therefore, I am rating it four out of four stars. My positive comments about the book above, and the absence of major errors are what form the basis of my rating.
This book contains some instances of profanity, but I detected zero erotic scenes. People interested in the subject of time traveling will find this book engaging and appealing, and I recommend it to them.
