The Reel Sisters, written by Michelle Cummings, narrates the interesting fictional story of five women fly fishers. It is an intriguing story of the passion for fly fishing shared by four friends Sophie, Rose, Veronica, and Amanda. As the story progresses these four women have a very interesting encounter with a younger woman named Melody during one of their fishing trips and they build a great friendship with her and she quickly falls in love with fly fishing as well. There are several great adventures shared during their fly-fishing experience.

This book is very well structured together, and the writer gives a very good background and interesting details of the families of each of the women fly fishers. I thoroughly enjoyed the writer’s style of writing and how she first-person narratives on the different characters in the story, I really felt that I could relate to each of the characters. The writer develops the story very well keeping it very engaging and captivating. It was a very satisfying read and a page-turner; I would love to watch a movie production of this book.

The choice of words used throughout the book is strong. There are several profane and vulgar words used in the book. I believe the writer could have used more subtle vocabulary to pass across the emotions of the characters better. The vocabulary used should have been more subtle.

The book was professionally edited, I did not observe any typographical errors. I like the grammatical structuring as the flow of the narrative was very smooth and well arranged. This book was a fun read, interesting and engaging, and should appeal to readers within the age range of 18 to 45, it is a really lovely book on the fantasy world of might and magic. This book would not be suitable for younger readers because of the strong language used.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars even with the strong language used, it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I liked the style of storytelling which was interesting and captivating as well as the power of the story. The characters in the book were very relatable. The book teaches the value of friendships and a shared passion for fly fishing showing the beauty and joy of adventures shared. Although the book ends on a bit of a sad note, the friendship of these women shines through as they bind together and share very fond memories.
