The "have you written OR published a book?" question...

Post by RobbinSuzanne »

:tiphat: Hello Scott and Forum,
I tend to be quite literal in my thought processes. So when you asked me the above question I hesitated, then answered "Yes". The reason being that I have WRITTEN a book on a medical treatment process from my point of view but it is not published yet. I was trying to be completely honest and upfront about my writing experience so I could try to earn money by proofreading for authors. I currently proofread for a couple of Indie authors in exchange for reading for free. But I need to earn money, and felt this would be a great win-win exchange.
When I realized my mistake I was embarassed to admit it and felt much better about it when I saw the way you set it up for the mistake to be corrected. Apparently this happens a lot. Thank You!
Please accept my apology for causing you any extra work on my part. I suggest you change the word "OR" from the sentence to "AND" or change it to include 1.""Have you written a book?" and nothing else, 2."Is it published?" 3. "Can we help you generate new sales and honest reviews for your book?" This is just my suggestion for your consideration as seeing how you had to go to the trouble to address this frequent problem already.

How did you change from author back to reviewer? I also did the same mistake and don't know how to correct it now?

Just go to the Contact Form and click on the option that states "I am not an author." :tiphat:
Authority, when first detecting chaos at its heels, will entertain the vilest schemes to save its orderly facade.
