Anyone driven crazy by the end twist in Opal a lux novel?

Did not see that coming for poor Kat!! Can't believe I'm stuck on this cliff hanger until the next installment!! I know Daemons gonna kick sum Alien butt to get his other half back right?! Were any of you left with your jaw hanging open in those last couple pages??
