In a world primarily full of sadness and negativity, it is of utmost importance that we read this kind of book. Sometimes we go about our days so busy that we fail to realize that our thoughts and actions are being penetrated and influenced by what happens around us.

From the introduction of this book, How to Manifest Happiness by Dr. Logan Chamberlain and Dr. Jacquelyn Somach, I do agree with the authors’ philosophy on happiness. The book states that happiness is our true nature and primary states of being. It goes on, implying that maintaining it is the major challenge we have as people. I performed the exercises the authors introduced to establish how practical they are. I must say it worth the time spent.

This practical book contains only six chapters with 100 pages. It addresses negativity (negative news, negative thoughts, and self-talk) and how to disassociate from it. It preaches positive affirmations and constant strengthening of the mind to design a happy life in an increasingly negative world. Also, the authors explored the power of goal-getting and values as a means of manifesting happiness.

The book is well-structured. I admire how each chapter has subheadings and exercises. Another amazing thing about this book is that it has the potential to readjust our frame of mindsets as we read about how much we are worth, and how we can block out negativity. Also, every chapter starts with an inspirational quote, and the summaries at the ending part of each chapter make reading easier and less tiring. I love how the authors clarified on how to write a positive affirmation with only positive words.

It’s amazing how the authors pointed out the information sources as a major reason for prominent negativity. I enjoyed how they used a formula (Events + Responses = Outcome) to back up their explanations. Also, I enjoyed their approach to manifesting happiness. According to the authors, “The mind cannot hold negativity and positivity at the same time.” One must get rid of negativity and switch his/her focus by doing the positive exercises from the book for positivity to manifest.

The authors did a good job of highlighting these things and providing practical solutions. Also, the book brings to light several things that subconsciously affect or corrupt our state of happiness and remedies to combat them. There is nothing I dislike about the book, and It is well-edited since I noticed only two grammatical errors that did not distract my reading experience. It is very informative and handy. Therefore, I am rating How to Manifest Happiness 4 out of 4 stars.

I would recommend the book to adults who need a practical guideline on how to live a happy lifestyle. With the help of it, people will learn how to put their emotions in check, and filter information that will place them in a depressed state. As adults, taking time out to focus on our mental health is very important. I believe this book will provide a system for the readers to manifest and maintain happiness.

The emoji on the cover is a funny one, it caught me first! So I now know happiness is the default mode, I'll just work to keep it maintained. That's a great lesson!

Happiness seems to be a state of mind from reading the review. I have deduced that inspirational quotes can motivate a person on a daily basis. Also what you put in your mind. What you put in is what you will put out. I would have to read the book to see the exercises that are given. You seemed to enjoy it by the rating of the review. Good review and thanks for sharing.

Thank you, The authors really analyzed the formula: Events + Response=Outcome. This is actually a book we need NOW that the world is experiencing shutdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Negativity in this time period is increasing, so I'm glad a book like this exists. There's only so much one can yake, and I think learning how to create your own happiness is well worth the effort.

Happiness, can one ever be happy? The way we respond to events matters. I learnt that "Whatever other people say about me is none of my business," and ever since I stopped minding what other people say or think about me, I do things freely. If the book is practical, then it is a very good book needed by today's generation.
A very good review from Anthony.
