Toni the superhero written by R.D. Base is a child friendly book which makes use of a young imaginary character named as Toni. This book is basically meant for children who are learning how to read. It involves several activities that Toni loves to do. These activities are common to children. It has 30 pages in all .

I like this book very much because I think it suit the purpose for which it was intended for. The book is simple, clear and has short sentences.
The correct spelling of words and use of simple words is going to help children of four years and below learn how to read. I also noticed the use of repetition in this book. In children it is an effective way to learn.

The book makes good use of bright colours and illustrations. Children love bright coloured books because they are stimulating and interesting. The use of illustration and animation makes reading more fun especially for children. I will recommend this book because these illustration paired alongside sentences will help children understand the actions better.

Toni is portrayed to have good relationship with other people. This will teach children about the importance of socializing. Toni is illustrated playing with children of different race. This will help children understand loving all sorts of people.

Toni is also illustrated to be involved in several activities like reading and drawing . This will encourage young children to cultivate the habit of reading and developing their talent. An interesting fact is that Toni is seen helping his mom with chores. This is a fine example which will help children to be responsible.

Toni is seen with a smile in the illustration. This reminds parents and children to remember to be happy and smile. Toni also does other healthy activities like sleeping and eating healthy food. Some of these foods are fruits and vegetables which constitutes to good health.

Children are very imaginative and look up to a figure or model to imitate. Toni being a superhero will have a positive impact on children by helping them learn to read. It will also help children develop the habit of reading since their superhero enjoys reading.
I will like to rate it 4 out of 4 and recommend it for children who are learning how to read. I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors.
Parent will not regret purchasing this book because aside learning ,there is a bonus of having fun and cultivating good habits.
