I stand on thesame page with you on this one.Eryn Bradshaw wrote: ↑20 Jul 2018, 14:46 I personally struggle to read the romance genre because of interactions like you described between Angela and Alex. I like the premise of the book well enough, and I think if I read it, I'd want to know more about the historical couples than I would want to know about Angela. After reading the sample, I decided against picking it up, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it. Thanks for the review!

Omg, thank you for sharing that. That is atrocious. I like when they keep it simple. Just gloss over it if you can't write it well, don't torture me with your awkward euphemisms.Helen_Combe wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 11:47 Great review as always. I know what you mean about toe curling love scenes, they are so hard to get right and will never suit all of the readers. In my last book, a man ‘entered her temple and made his offering’. My toes were so curled I could barely walk.

Thank you Rosemary. I appreciate your kind comment. I would have loved the focus on romance more if it had been more about the two couples from the past. They were quite intriguing to me.Rosemary Khathibe wrote: ↑24 Jul 2018, 07:44 You have written an excellent review. I was more interested in the main character's love story but your review in regard to it has me thinking twice.

Haha, yes absolutely. I love romance novels, and sex scenes done well don't bother me, but that's exactly how I felt. I thought Ami should have given the search for the painting more page space. Thanks for commenting
